~ Minion baby cocoon ~


Materials:
- 4-ply worsted weight acrylic
   - 2 oz. blue
   - 2 1/2 oz. yellow
   - 1/2 oz. black
   - small amounts brown, white and grey
- J hook

Size:  10 1/4" across x 13 1/2" top to bottom

Notes;
- I crochet tight, so you may need to adjust the size of your hook.
- the ch 2 at the beginning of all rnds does not count as a st.

Directions:
Rnd 1:  With blue ch 3 (make the 1st ch loose), 12 dc in the 3rd ch from hook.  Join with a sl st to the 1st dc.  (12 dc)

Rnd 2:  Ch 2, 2 dc in the same st as joining st, 2 dc in each dc around.  Join as before.  (24 dc)

Rnd 3:  Ch 2, 2 dc in the same st as joining st, dc in next dc.  *2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc.  Repeat from * around.  Join as before.

Rnd 4:  Ch 2, 2 dc in the same st as joining st, dc in next 2 dc.  *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc.  Repeat from * around.  Join as before.

Rnd 5:  Ch 2, 2 dc in the same st as joining st, dc in next 3 dc.  *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc.  Repeat from * around.  Join as before.

Rnd 6:  Ch 2, 2 dc in the same st as joining st, dc in next 4 dc.  *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc.  Repeat from * around.  Join as before.

Rnds 7 - 11:  Ch 2, dc in the same st as joining st.  Dc in each dc around.  Join as before.  At end of Rnd 11, end off.

Rnd 12:  Join yellow with a sl st to 1st dc, ch 2, dc in the same st.  Dc in each dc around.  Join as before.

Rnds 13 - 19:  Ch 2, dc in the same st as joining st.  Dc in each dc around.  Join as before.  At end of Rnd 19, end off.

Rnd 20:  Join black with a sl st to 1st dc, ch 2, dc in the same st.  Dc in each dc around.  Join as before.

Rnds 21 - 22:  Ch 2, dc in the same st as joining st.  Dc in each dc around.  Join as before.  At end of Rnd 22, end off.

Rnd 23:  Join yellow with a sl st to 1st dc, ch 2, dc in the same st.  Dc in each dc around.  Join as before.

Rnds 24 - 30:  Ch 2, dc in the same st as joining st.  Dc in each dc around.  Join as before.

Rnd 31:  Ch 1, sc in the same st as joining st.  Sc in each dc around.  Join with a sl st to 1st sc.  End off.

Eye:
Rnd 1:  With brown ch 3 (make the 1st ch loose), 10 hdc in the 3rd ch from hook.  Join with a sl st to the 1st hdc.  End off.  (10 hdc)

Rnd 2:  Join white with a sl st to 1st hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc in same hdc.  2 hdc in each hdc around.  Join as before.  

Rnd 3:  Ch 2, 2 hdc in same st as joining st, hdc in next hdc.  *2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next hdc.  Repeat from * around.  Join as before.  End off.

Rnd 4:  Join grey with a sl st to 1st hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc in same hdc, hdc in next 2 hdc.  *2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 2 hdc.  Repeat from * around.  Join as before.  End off.

Sew to black band.
